“There are many things that go into a successful racing program, and feed is a big one. I work hard at keeping my horses happy, healthy, and pain-free. Now, we start all of the horses that we purchase in the fall, off the track, on G's International and Spirulina. Coming here to Alberta can be a big lifestyle change for many of them - the climate, being turned out on the ranch, the just the overall decrease in stress can be a challenge. I can say that this past winter, we had NO COLICS! That’s a first.

I’m excited to be a part of G’s Team! Nelli is knowledgeable and easy to work with. It’s great being able to ask her what product she thinks fits best based on the situation I have.”

G’s formula

I started using G’s Formula in 2021 on a few wagon horses because…

  • I had one who was always really nervous and agitated at the barn

  • A few others developed bad attitudes halfway through the season

  • We suspected ulcers

  • Then I had one horse colic

Since we started feeding G’s Formula…

  • My nervous horse started settling in after just a few weeks on G’s and now even lays down during turnout! He’s an all-around different horse

  • My cranky horses’ attitudes have definitely improved

  • No more colic!

We had such success that we started 12 horses on G’s International for the 2022 season.

G’s International

We switched all of our wagon horses to G’s International for the 2022 season- But why would we do that after having so much success with G’s Formula?

Simply for peace of mind. With regular drug testing in Wagon Racing, feeding G’s International which has chia seeds instead of hemp only makes sense to us.

After having all of our wagon horses on G’s International for the 2022 season we found that…

  • They stay happy throughout the whole 50-race season

  • With all those miles hauled and all those races, every horse kept their weight and stayed fit

  • Like last year on G’s Formula, we have not had a single colic episode again this winter!

G’s Spirulina

My horse, Buddy, is 9 years old and has had recurring sinus infections with lots of nasal discharge. We started him on Spirulina for the immune system and respiratory system support.

We were so happy with the results on Spirulina that we started feeding it to all our wagon horses and every new horse we purchase because…

  • It has cleared up dandruffy coats

  • It has healed difficult cases of scratches when other methods didn’t work

  • It helps with their muscle development during training

  • Every horse is happy! I have never seen so many horses running around, playing, and happy. It’s great.

We are just starting two of our new horses on Hedgerow- the newest product from G’s. I’m excited to see how it helps them detox and “reset” coming off the track. Stay tuned for updates!

Chance’s driving highlights from the 2019 season were winning the WPCA Top Rookie Driver award and being a runner-up at the Century Downs World Finals.

Along with driving, Chance continues to outride. In 2019 Chance won the Grande Prairie Stompede behind Luke Tournier and was the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider and the Calgary Stampede Aggregate Champion Outrider behind Logan Gorst.
